You can import share transfers in bulk using an excel spreadsheet available in Capdesk.
Shares transfers can be easily reflected in the platform individually or in bulk. Capdesk also allows you to transfer shares in bulk with the aid of an import file (excel spreadsheet). All shares are linked to a share class, so make sure that you already have a share class created.
1. Go to the Shares > Transactions.
2. Click Bulk import actions.
3. Click on Download to obtain the excel spreadsheet.
4. Complete the downloaded spreadsheet. These are the mandatory fields when reflecting transfers:
- First name - Completed in case the recipient of the shares is an individual.
- Last name - Completed in case the recipient of the shares is an individual.
- Registration number - Completed in case the recipient of the shares is a company/entity. It is the ID number of company registered with authorities.
- Company name - Completed in case the recipient of the shares is a company/entity.
- Country - Country of residence/ incorporation of the recipient of the shares.
- Email - Email address of the recipient of the shares.
- Stakeholder category - The stakeholder type of the recipient of the shares e.g. Employee, Individual Investor, Advisor, etc.
- Seller first name - Name of the shareholder who is transferring shares - this field is completed if the shareholder is an invididual.
- Seller last name - Last name of the shareholder who is transferring shares - this field is completed if the shareholder is an individual.
- Seller Company - Name of the company shareholder who is transferring shares - this field is completed if the shareholder is an entity/company.
- Seller registration number - Registration number of the company shareholder that is transferring shares - this field is completed if the shareholder is an entity/company.
- Seller email - Email address of who is transferring shares.
- Seller Stakeholder category - The type of stakeholder of who is transferring the shares e.g. Employee, Individual Investor, Advisor, etc.
- Seller country - Country of residence/incorporation of the shareholder who is transferring shares.
- Price - Price per share of the transaction.
- Quantity - Number of shares being transferred.
- Date of Transaction - Transfer date of the shares.
- Share class - The share class of the shares that are being transferred.
- Note - This is a mandatory field when reflecting share transfers and conversions.
5. Click Upload and select the completed spreadsheet from your computer.
6. Click Import data once the file is uploaded.
7. The platform will process the data in the file. Click Publish to publish the transactions or Review Imported Data to review them.
8. In case your file needs adjusting, you will be able to either download the processed file to see errors or you can contact Support for further assistance.
