View stakeholders' personal details and check if they already signed up for Capdesk in one page.
When a new individual is added on your cap table, their personal information such as address, country, ID as well as their email address can be edited in the Stakeholders page.
This article will cover different ways you can view and edit your stakeholders' information:
- Viewing/ editing stakeholders' information individually.
- Editing stakeholders' information in bulk.
- Deleting a stakeholder.
Viewing/Editing Stakeholders' Information Individually
1. Navigate to Stakeholder management > Stakeholders.
- Name - First and last names.
- Email - The email that the Capdesk invitation was sent to. A stakeholder can only be registered with one email.
- Access Type - If they are an investor, grantholder or former stakeholder.
- Stakeholder Category - It varies depending on how the stakeholder was registered.
- Employee ID - It shows an external stakeholder ID. It is an ID registered for this stakeholder input by the company, it only shows if applicable.
- On Capdesk - A green checkmark means that this person has already signed up for Capdesk to accept their holdings.
2. Click on the name of the stakeholder to display information. You will be able to see Basic Information, Profile and Address.
3. Click the Action Button on the right-hand side > Edit information.
4. The following information can be edited. Click Save to save the changes.
- Stakeholder details - Includes type, category and label.
- Current legal name - Includes first name, middle name, last name and email address.
- Current legal address - Includes specifics of their address as well as country of residence.
- Personal details - Includes date of birth, mobile number, national identification number, external stakeholder ID and pledges and liens.
- Notes and Documents - You will be able to add any notes and documents to the stakeholder. Documents will be visible to the stakeholder.
5. Alternatively, you can view and edit stakeholders' information in Ownership > Cap table.
Editing Stakeholders' Information In Bulk
1. Navigate to Stakeholder management > Stakeholders.
2. Click Bulk update details.
3. Click Export file.
4. Open the spreadsheet and edit the necessary information. Under no circumstances should the column A be edited. The platform will be unable to read the spreadsheet if the ID is altered.
5. Upload it back to the platform and click Update details.
Deleting a Stakeholder
You can delete a stakeholder entry that has no published transactions in the company account. Commonly, this will be in instances where a stakeholder has been issued a draft transaction that has since been deleted.
1. Navigate to Stakeholder management > Stakeholders.
2. Click the Action button > Delete stakeholder.
3. You will then have to confirm the deletion on the pop-up.
