Revoking is a way of amending a mistake in published data, as it publishes new transactions that “undo” the ones you consider incorrect/obsolete.
This can have important consequences outside of Capdesk (e.g. when filing to authorities). Both the old and new transactions will be permanently visible in the transaction history, but the revoked transaction will be hidden behind a filter.
The workflow to revoke published transactions is the same for all types of transactions/securities - the only difference being the location where you will start the flow.
1. Navigate to the page of securities you need to revoke (Shares, Convertible notes, Options, Share Grants, Warrants, Phantom Shares, RSUs).
2. Click on the action button on the right-hand side of the transaction that needs to be revoked.
3. Click Revoke or Revoke incorrect registration (the name of the button varies according to the security related to the transaction being revoked).
4. Add the revocation reason and click Revoke.
Revoking a transaction will not trigger a notification to the recipients, but the revocation notes will be visible to them. |
