Standard Placeholders Used in Exercise Notices

An ultimate guide on what placeholders you can use in your Exercise Notice to send to your grantholders to sign. 

When opening an online exercise in Capdesk, you will be sending some documents to your grantholders to give them the chance to exercise their options. Capdesk offers the possibility of sending the Exercise Notice, Form Section 431 (1) and (2) and Deed of Adherence as dynamic documents.

A dynamic document means that you can create a template version of the document (.word) and populate it with placeholders. Placeholders are snippets of text that will pull information from the platform into the documents making it possible to create personalized documents automatically and send them to your grantholders for signing.

This support article will cover the standard placeholders used in Exercise Notices in three sections:

• Required placeholders
• Signature placeholders
• Optional placeholders

Required Placeholders

These are placeholders that are required in all types of Exercise Notices. Without inputting them in the document, Capdesk will not let you proceed uploading it onto the platform. 

Placeholder	What it populates
<<capdesk:ExerciseCost>>	The total exercise cost depending on the quantity of shares the grantholder chose to exercise.
<<capdesk:ExercisePriceCurrency>>	The currency of the exercise price.
<<capdesk:Grant:Granted>>	Populates either the last signature date or the payment date whichever happens last.
<<capdesk:Shares>>	The quantity the grantholder decided to exercise.
<<capdesk:Grantholder:Address>>	The grantholder's address.
<<capdesk:Grantholder:Name>>	The grantholder's name.

Signature Placeholders

Some signature placeholders may be optional or not. If the company chooses an Exercise Notice signed only by the grantholder that means that only the grantholder signature placeholders will be required. On the other hand, if the company opts for an Exercise Notice signed by the grantholder, the company and their witnesses, the grantholder, issuer and witnesses' placeholders will be required.

<<capdesk:ShareClass:Name>>	The share class' name of the underlying shares connected to the grant.
<<capdesk:ShareClass:NominalValue>>	The nominal value of the share class of the underlying shares connected to the grant.
<<capdesk:ShareClass:NominalValueCurrency>>	The nominal value currency of the share class of the underlying shares connected to the grant.

<<capdesk:Grantholder:DateOfBirth>>	The grantholder's date of birth.
