It is possible to group your stakeholders on Capdesk using different built-in categories to help you organise your data more clearly and efficiently.
Please find below the current list of categories available, as well as their description.
Individual investor | Individual investors are individuals investing on their own behalf. |
Institutional investor (renamed from VC) |
An institutional investor is an entity that makes investment decisions on behalf of individual members or shareholders. These investors typically engage in large transactions with large sums of money. |
Employee | An employee is someone who gets paid to work for a person or company at a non-executive level. |
Leaver | A leaver is an individual or corporation who was but has ceased to be part of your organisation. A leaver includes stakeholders with and without outstanding holdings. |
Founder / Executive |
A founder or co-founder is a person that started or are part of the founding members of the organisation. An executive is a person or group of persons having administrative or supervisory authority in an organisation. This can for example be a C-suit level executive, director, VP etc. |
Advisor | An advisor is an expert, whose hired to give advice or guidance within a specific field or subject. |
Trust | A trust is a structure where a trustee carries out the business on behalf of the trust's members (or beneficiaries). |
Treasury | Treasury is when the issuing company holds shares in itself, by buying them back from a stakeholder. |
Other | Use other if none of the above categories matches the stakeholder. |
In addition to the categories, it is also possible to add a Stakeholder Label which allows you to enter a free text tagging, only shown in the cap table report and in the basic information on the cap table drawer.
